Thank You….
Five and a half years ago, my amazing $199 dollar Yamaha acoustic guitar arrived. I was determined to learn how to play no matter what! I simply was not going to give up. My neighbor, Sandy Wollman, had been finger picking in his yard for years, and we quickly found ourselves playing covers in his basement, what we call the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”. As I began to write music and lyrics, it became a way of expressing myself at the highest possible level. I always loved to write, but to add music to my words… I was hooked. I am even more hooked now! Sandy introduced me more deeply to the blues, and we kept working on originals. Of all my creative pursuits over the years, none come close to being as satisfying as writing and recording original music. Singing is a very nice bonus. This is something I will stop doing only because I no longer can.
We would like to thank our wives for allowing us to pursue our passion to create music, especially Lisa Wollman who tolerated so many nights of loud practices, some good, some not so much. Now that I have a home studio in my garage, sorry Barbara😊
Thanks to our other musician friends: Rob Kissner, Jon Manierre, Oliver Molitor and Emily Angell for being a big part of what we were doing early on. To Bill Soviero, Mike Stigliano, and Charles Langley, great friends who I share most of my new tunes with…for better or for worse. I appreciate their honest feedback and encouragement!
A HUGE Thank You to Lincoln Schleifer for guiding us along the way. He is a true pro who always tells you what he thinks; all he truly cares about is the music. He’s a gifted musician and producer who has done a lot for us, both on and off the record. He’s made me a better writer, singer and guitarist!
The great GE Smith for being so humble, adding solos and ideas in one long day that literally blew us away. He’s a true master!
Larry Campbell for his AMAZING talent and contributions, never happy until he got the cuts he was after, another true pro!
Josh Dion for being the incredible drummer that he is!
Danny Louis for his great contributions on the Hammond.
Joel Diamond for his magical fingers on piano and Denny McDermott for his deft percussion on “Explored.”
It would take reams of paper to list all the greats these guys played with, but Bob Dylan does come to mind for GE and Larry Campbell. Please Google these musicians for more information about their fascinating careers and to learn more about what they are up to right now! They have played with the best because THEY are the best.
We are proud of this record, and we are thrilled that we can finally share it!
Rock On!
